WHy is that when white young boys and men commit mass shootings no one brings up their parents?
It's off that the subject of two parent households are brought up when black boys commit crime.

In the woman's words, "The parents should be held accountable."
There is something seriously wrong with our society where women and seniors are not protected and respected.

How can 5-8 black teenagers on a bus represent all 45,000 black youth in DC?
I'll wait.
They don’t. Not even close.
But assume the worst on public transit.
Mouth shut. Head on a swivel.
Or don’t at your own peril.

I’d love to hear what the victim thinks.
How does she feel about being attacked by teens on the bus?
What does she think the real issue is?
How does she suggest the issue is addressed?
My guess is she won’t blame poverty or systemic racism.
My guess is she will say something about lack of values, fatherless kids who weren’t “raised right,” etc.
Maybe we should give her a platform and listen?
After all, every nonprofit and foundation is pushing initiatives that put people with lived experience as the changemakers.

Fine, NBD. Then they started goofing around pushing each other. NBD until they started pushing each other into other passengers. One of them crashed into a lady’s head. She cried out, either in pain/fear/surprise or any combination of those. One teen then told the “crasher” that he should punch the lady in her face. She went on to say, “Didn’t she hear about the lady on the W4?”. God help us all. Just about everyone, including me, got off at the next stop. I have NEVER felt a need to do that before in my life.
When incidents like this continue to happen with no consequences, people start to take matters into their own hands. It’s only a matter of time before they curse at the wrong person or fall into the wrong person. Plenty of people call switch blades, guns, mace, etc. One of these incidents will lead to a response that severely injures or kills one of these kids. And no one will be able to blame the person who was tired of this behavior being allowed by the leaders and citizens of this city.
