We got no merit aid and no financial aid. If you have multiple kids and are taking care of senior family members these numbers don’t work for many of us. All of our kids went in-state public and have done very well in life and grad school. I am so grateful for the options in the Commonwealth

2/3 of the majority readers of this website do not live in Virginia, so the in-state/OOS comparison doesn't apply.

Obviously UVS in state is a better deal than GU, but for the rest of us, GU is a better school with a better location, unless you want to be in Charlottesville (which I personally love to visit)

I can't get over how many males (feel compelled to?) always seems to wear khakis and Sperrys. Where are jeans? Sweats? There is a definite UMC southern feel to the student body.

Your kid is at UVA and all you see is kids in khakis and sperrys? Please post this in the UVA parent group and tell me how it goes. You are not describing UVA kids.

My kid chose UVA over Georgetown (hated it) because of the campus. Too small. Not kept up as well. Didn't have a vibe.
