Seems like no one needs to be persuaded to become atheist -- it just happens. Sometimes naturally, i.e., religion doesn't "take" or is never taught, and sometimes through study or realization later in life, e.g., reading the Bible or noticing the similarities in all religions, e.g., the need to have faith in order to believe.
Some people may be naturally religious too -- just feeling that there is something out there, but organized religion involves teaching and prosetelization.

Sounds like pp is actually an atheist - the bad kind - who doesn't realize that posing as a nasty religious person will not persuade people to consider becoming religious.
Suggestion: Tone it down. You'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Plus there is no indication that people become atheist via proselytizing. They get there via study, seeing a no benefit to being religious, or they're just born that way.

Some religious people think that simply expressing that there are many reasons not to believe in God is an attempt to persuade people to become atheist. Like pp above, they can be very insulting about it, thus not presenting a positive view of religious people.
Meanwhile, people become atheists without any persuading and despite being told that they will burn for eternity for not being religious.

Most respondents have very weak views on this subject anyway, but most will just say "yes" even if they don't really care one way or the other.
The poll is obviously over broad and misleading. Lots of people believe there is a god-like creative force at work in the universe; they just don't believe in the humans who claim to have a direction connection to it and know all the special "rules."

Only 42% believe in a god that "Hears prayers and intervenes". Another 28% believe in one that "% Hears prayers only" (not sure what the point of that is.
The most important data shows that belief is down in all measured categories, and has doubled overall in a decade.
