They also invited popular Tik Tok influencers. It’s about being relevant. It’s sad that this is our pop culture- people who are famous for no talent.

It was in tribute to Virgil Abloh, a beloved designer who passed away unexpectedly.

Kylie managed to hold her own this evening by wearing a contemporary twist on a wedding gown designed by Off-White’s founder, the late Virgil Abloh. Jenner’s bridal ensemble included a full, tiered tulle skirt and a mesh T-shirt with the branded “Off” logo at the bust. Instead of a traditional wedding veil, Jenner wore a backwards baseball cap, which was adorned with a mini veil and floral appliqué work. A similar style closed the fall 2022 show, which was designed by Abloh before he died in November of 2021 at the age of 41.
Abloh, a true trailblazer, was known to subvert many looks with his cheeky logos and streetwear slant. By wearing a wedding gown to the Met—and making it youthful, graphic, and wholly unexpected—Jenner channeled the irreverent spirit that Abloh perfected throughout his career. It was a classy tribute to one of the greatest American talents in fashion.
He was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection beginning in 2018, and was given increased creative responsibilities across the LVMH brand in early 2021.[1] Abloh was also the chief executive officer of the Milan-based label Off-White, a fashion house he founded in 2013.

I hate myself for saying this - but Marilyn's breasts looked much better in the dress. Kim looks like she's wearing a minimizer that is also making her droopy, maybe?
Ugh.

She changed into a replica after her entry. It was on loan from Ripley's Believe or Not museum who purchased it in 2016--cost $4.8 million.

16 pounds in three weeks!
Yep. Insanity!!
I love how the epitome of a curvy woman, MM, still was at least 16lbs lighter![]()
Yep. I always get pissed when people refer to Marilyn as 'large' or 'fat'. She was so much smaller than women today. And a size 10-12 in the 50s is like a size 4 today.
Kim is tiny--like 5'1". 16 pounds is a helluva lot of weight to lose on a small frame. I'm 5'4" and curvy/athletic/muscular and when I lost 10 pounds people told me I looked anorexic/too skinny.
I never heard anyone referring to MM as large or fat. More like "curvy". That word lost its original meaning, since it is now a PC word, or a code for large and fat.
Seeing their pictures next to each other made me realize how beautiful, well proportionate, radiant and natural MM was.
Kim in a MM dress is as convincing as a karaoke version of a Whitney Huston's song.
I'm pretty sure that dress was specifically made and tailored for Monroe so it should have looked great on her. Anyone without MM proportions wouldn't have looked as good.

Oh I love this!
Not my style.
It's more Cher-like. I am not one for glittery pant suits.

Anonymous wrote:Seeing Kim in that MM dress just emphasizes how blah she is. No star quality.
I thought the best on theme looks were: Blake lively, lizzo, Kaia Gerber, Jessica chastain
