I don’t know, why would kids want to sleep over? Maybe because they need it.
Kids are overworked and overscheduled, that's the real problem here.
Teens need to sleep later. That’s the real problem here.
Really? That's not the only problem, yes they need more sleep, but si many ppl are worried about all of the homework and activities. Sounds to me like kids have too much on their plates and need to pull back a bit.

They should try going to bed earlier.
You must be living in a cave.
So these kids aren't going to bed when they're tired and you want the government to solve this for them?

What does the hw and activities have to do with you complaints about not wanting to push time to an appointment time?

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Why is MCPS behind the curve on this important issue. There is so much research on the topic that teenagers need more sleep and that their biological clocks are wired for them to go to bed later and wake up later. CA is requiring all high schools to start no earlier than 8.30 am starting this fall:

MCPS is so far behind! Right now, for example, other schools are returning to online instruction because of rising case numbers but MCPS isn't even discussing this. They keep putting our children at risk.
