Anyway, I just bought a new batch of kn95s. No point in making my kid wear a mask I know doesn't work and no point in thinking there will be change before we run out.

No. LAMB hasn’t announced a date or scheduled the parent chat to talk about it. Pretty frustrating.
I'm getting concerned.
Give them a day or two to make the decision. Jeez. Have you never worked in a bureaucracy?
+1
but in the me and right now culture DCUM moms live in, it will never be enough
to the mom who said "never". Do you really believe your child's charter will be having masks next year? Or do you live in drama 24/7?
Lol acting like following CDC guidance is some huge issue. Particularly when implementing CDC guidance means REMOVING something. There are no new signs to make. Just say, "hey masks are optional now and you can choose to wear one or not." This isn't a huge lift here.
Yes. And by polling parents or presenting plans to stakeholders, you're just creating more work for yourself. Just do the thing that all the public health people are telling you it's safe to do. And tell us that next year you'll continue doing that.
Agree, but I think they feel the need to do that because otherwise there will be hell to pay dealing with the outcry of the entitled parents who think they should have a say in whether the school is allowed to follow public health guidance rather than catering to their fears.

Without penalty! I promise! Give it a shot, if you are so distraught over covid precautions at your charter. We won't miss you.
There are charters that would have lost students if they'd been upfront at the beginning of the school year about how divorced their policies were going to be from everything. But they weren't. They probably weren't aware of it themselves, because they were being purely reactive. Obviously parents are not pulling their kids out in March.
Then STFU and leave at the end of the school year.
Or stop endlessly complaining about your free preschool if your kids are in ps or pk.
Don't you people ever get tired of complaining? I feel so sorry for charter leaders. What a pain to deal with entitled parents.
The poor charter leaders who are refusing to follow the example of the rest of the entire world.

You do? LOL. What a weird group to have affinity with. You feel sorry for the like 100 people in the city who are being asked to follow CDC guidance? Yes, truly they are put upon, with these unreasonable demands.
