You are correct in that its easy to live your life in MoCo unaware of the gang activity and violence.

But I also challenge you to go walk around some areas of Wheaton or Montgomery Village after dark by yourself and still ask yourself if its anything like the Wire.

I was once in the Walkers Choice apartment area off of MV ave after dark and it was not a welcoming environment. At All


Get out of your bubble. Please don't be stupid and walk around an unfamiliar neighborhood, especially apartment areas after dark. I would say that even if the apartment building was on Bradley Blvd. in Bethesda.

Mont. village, lake forest mall, there are many undocumented immigrant from south america, they gather in groups, both adults or youths. Disturbing the community, robberies, theft and even violence...I think PD know that area but have no approach to clean up

TerryWorld Crew still wreaks havoc in the Chillum area by Riggs road etc with the 2017 double homocide as a particularly heinous example. Also south side Mexicanos in Hyattsville / Riverdale Park. There are a few others. Blade shirt has a crew. But keep in mind these are all dying out.

I know MoCo has gangs too, like Ms13 I know they have, but I don’t know MoCo beyond that.
