I suspect she never really wanted a baby.

The reality is any woman desperate to be a mother finds a way to become a mother. She has all the resources to get a baby. If she truly wanted one, she could have had one or gotten one.

She also said more than once that she didn't want to parent alone. I would be worried about an adopted or egg donor child only having me.

Maybe she read the court cases coming out of donors and that scared her off too.

I think adopting comes with many challenges and it's reasonable to decide you don't want it for whatever reason. She probably didn't feel comfortable saying that precisely because she has close friends with adopted kids. Not that bio kids can't be equally challenging!

It rubs me the wrong way, especially since she has at least one close friend who's adopted (Sandy B), but I guess she's entitled to feel the way she feels?



Yes. The concept of one's own DNA is a little weird to me but parenthood is huge and people can want what they want.

It became a thing because Brad Pitt went on to have all these kids why she did not. She did not comment on the topic for a very long time. We all have our breaking point and eventually she opened that door to talk about it.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Crow & Nancy Wilson, Sonia Kruger, Tina Malone, Naomi Campbell(she's a maybe), etc have all used egg donors. Jennifer could, too, if she wanted/decides to. Many agencies have facial recognition software to find donors who resemble the intended parent.
