From the allegedly liberal Washington Post, they sampled 10 “suburban swing voters.” “Swing” my left foot. Anyone who uses Trump’s framing about Biden is a right winger. This is the kind of GOP-friendly narrative shaping garbage the right wing media pushes.

You’ll see that it’s “Democrats +2” in their own telling, which is somehow a “shellacking” for the Democrats? Chuck Todd must be getting paid tons by the GOP to shill for them.

That they keep pushing fascism forward? I don’t know. It’s weird.

They know how to issue corrections? Was it placed in the internet equivalent of a tiny little square in the classifieds?

You’ll notice the near complete lack of right wingers on this thread, too. The pages of examples provided (not to mention the hundreds of examples provided from the linked sources) prove that their whining is just that - whining. They don’t want “balance,” they want “capitulation.”

Important to note that while the “mainstream” media sucks and is soft right wing in appearance, the hard right wing is still being a passel of effing lunatics.

Their producers are now just thinking in terms of cliffhangers, plot twists, and adversity for serialization like their TV producer counterparts who sell adventure fiction. They think they need a horse race in order to sell their stories. They can't just have happy news, everything needs to be fraught with uncertainty, there can't be any clear wins, in the misguided notion that this is what they need to get people to keep coming back to them to see what happens next.

This is the mechanism, but it’s not the reason. The reason is that the media is now owned by corporations, and those corporations want to make money and to keep a powerless lower class. That’s it. That’s why they want the GOP in power and cover stories accordingly.

Agree with this. When news became profit centers for corporations, things turned for the worse. Conflict, conspiracy, negativity drives ratings ie advertising dollars. Milk toast Biden doesn't drive the emotions (from either side) enough to hit profit numbers. Pretty easy to see in the coverage from both conservative and liberal media outlets.
