That is unfair and misleading. The coaches are all excellent and want to win. There is just not enough talent to support a B team. I do think DCE dilutes its brand with a B team.

Anonymous wrote:DC Express 2021 is one of the best teams in the country. They are working hard to grow that success into younger teams. They are a fairly new club to our area and partnering with BLC and Performance. Tons of kids trying out from independents, Catholics, and publics. Not aware of a ton of Bullis kids yet as that would only be for high school years. I can say there are a lot of kids from STA, Landon, Mater Dei, other Catholic schools, and publics.

Surprised there weren't more kids trying out for Madlax. I think they are really getting hit by NL, DC Express, VLC and BW.
Of all the clubs you mention, are there any that are associated with a particular private school. For example, I have heard that DC Express may be Bullis-focused.
All the kids from The Heights play for NL. All of their kids are Montgomery County kids. Same with Express. They started with Montgomery County public kids which was a disaster. They have one great team, but the other teams aren't very good - mostly kids who just come over from Bethesda. The founders are affiliated with Bullis and they will get more Bullis kids in their program.

BW has tryouts? I guess invite only?

No, please. It's the nosey parents who want to know. My son did not know who played on other club teams nor did he care. He barely cared who was on his own club team.
That is not something to be proud of.
Yes, it is. It shows the kid is grounded and not worried about status. Sounds like your son has a good head on his shoulders.
I agree with prior poster - what kind of teammate "barely cares" about who was on his own team.
I can tell we have a lot of former high level athletes posting here.![]()
