I think the point is, PP, that most park guests do not expect a REAL allogator of any size in a water ride inside a Disney park. I have a hard time understanding how it got into the park--I know they say drain pipes, but are there not covers/strainers to keep gators out?
Because it is a 47 square mile park with tons of water in the middle of FLORIDA. Flies and spiders and snakes get in too. Can you believe it, nature has no idea it should stay out of Disney
