The idea that so many people are in thrall to such an insecure, petty, lying, corrupt, incompetent, incoherent man will always be baffling to me. He's unbelievably unattractive and abrasive. He sputters nonsense. WTF.
There are a shocking number, but a minority of the country, who are in the cult and will never be swayed. Every one else is patronizing him and laughing behind his back. Every leader in Europe who has ever kissed his a$$ publicly cannot believe how stupid we all are. We are the laughingstock of the world.
