You're proving my point. The DA estimated a four month trial, excluding jury selection, so even under this timeline the verdict would be well after the election. And when she proposed this date back in November before Roman filed his motion, the judge said that was too soon. So there was no chance that a trial would happen before the election.
But they were trying mightily to have the trial begin by October or November so it can be broadcast live.

There is some allegation that the White House was telling Fani to move the GA case along quickly and get a verdict before the election. In order to get a verdict by November, the trial had to take place in August or September at the latest.
