They both look dumb. Pipeline 08s were weak so they poached a stronger side. Nothing wrong with competition but essentially paying somebody to provide personal or proprietary information is weak even if legal. Does not reflect well. They look like they are trying to do the same thing with younger age groups. Looking at their sides, they like big kids who run fast. Arlington North.
Do you remember the days when the American populace predicted 'can you just imagine when America's best athletes start playing soccer'? Well, it's starting to tip that way. These big fast kids will be technical; just because they can play simple quickly doesn't mean they need to constantly show flashy creativity with the ball. There's always a place in the game for a wide range of athletes, but typically the better ones continue on which is kinda the point of the DA ("Federation's mission to make soccer the preeminent sport in America").

Pipeline is pulling in close to $1.8mill per year in player fess, so it has plenty of money. And that was before they took over the girls DA (where each player pays about $5k). (https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/275434943). The DA is a cash cow for Pipeline. SAC is no longer involved and there are huge player fees/dues and limited expenses. (ex. They don’t play tournaments). Don’t see why they’d give that up.
The Pipeline Harford County expansion looks to be a bunch of former Celtic teams that appear to have followed Brandon Quaranta over to Pipeline and are now playing under the Pipeline club name.

Pipeline has expanded considerably over the past year, added another academy for little kids in Hartford county, and a number of teams there playing under the name Pipellne North. I don’t get a sense they are hurting financially.

A Coppermine coach gave Pipeline parent’s emails for his team, and pipeline invited them to tryouts. The team in question is 2008s. It is a nuisance suit.

If you play soccer at a high level and you love playing soccer the quality matters. And for the girl you speak of above, she is likely a typical ECNL player who when playing HS soccer is now the Post Player of the Year. They speaks to the low level of HS soccer that it was so easy for her.
Right! The girls is already committed to a top DI academic institution. Actually all but three girls who made All-met are ECNL players. Most are committed to schools and did not need to play but did because they enjoy HS soccer.

The only moron here is you. You try to belittle anyone who argues against you. Nobody is arguing the talent level.
I think you perhaps should not paint such a broad brush. What you preach may be somewhat true in VA and other places around the country but it certainly does not apply to all. There is an long list of elite girls who play HS soccer every year.

Since when did people"s egos allow for only one possible way to experience sports? Itzks only fun if they play for their high school? Why isn't your kid enjoying her club team? That is what you aren't getting. Your DD loves it so it is an opportunity to play for her high school. Others don't, so it is a relief when they don't have to. There are other ways to be part of your school

Also, for most of the current WNT ECNL was not an option and for others it was developing and growing as league in its own right. But when ECNL was the only National league game in town for girls the coaches hated and discouraged High School play.
Again, since DA came along on the girls side ECNL saw allowing HS to be a differentiation for players to choose them over DA. It is marketing. It is odd that ECNL suddenly champions another organizations soccer suddenly and all of you Glory Day's High School fans just eat it up.
We get it. You didn't make your high school sports teams. We all sympathize, but no need to take your frustration out on some kids who want to play soccer.
