NP. What’s hollow is the fact that she insists the money isn’t the reason she is repping China when we all know that’s not true. I don’t blame her, this is life changing money we are talking about, but just acknowledge that instead of spinning fantastical yarns about why you’re repping a country other than the one you were born and raised in.

You do realize that, in order for her to make the 14mm, she has to present herself as someone who loves Chinese culture, right? Her comp will be halved if she acknowledge its about money.

I guess you’ll never really understand what it feels like to be someone who feels culturally more Chinese. In one video clip, she was walking on a street in China when people around her kept calling her a foreigner, but she insisted that she is Chinese. She was 13 or 14 years old back then.

The US govt Dow not pay athletes! Behind what $10k for a medal. The rest is endorsements etc and they have to pay for all the training facilities out to pocket. China and many other govts pay athletes.
Putting that aside, she still earns double to triple the endorsement $$$s because of all the Chinese brands. She wouldn’t get those if she didn’t compete for China and it doesn’t impact any of her US deals.

So true! One woman athlete represents another country + MAGAs are twisting their panties. US males in sports such as basketball and hockey have been doing this for years. As EG said, if she wasn't any good, no one would care. Also, MAGAs don't like women who think for themselves + have their own power.
EG is a huge threat to the MAGA movement - she's a young, gorgeous, brilliant, independent, successful woman, and she's Chinese. Of course, they hate her. She represents everything they complain about.
