It had to be Sophie. I hated this convoluted episode. No way would he end up with Katie Lowes who was just introduced last week. And he and Cassidy have established multiple times that they are better off as friends. There were a few gems like Rebecca’s talk with Sophie towards the end but otherwise the episode could have been better after the highs of the last few episodes. But I’ve always been on Team Sophie so I am happy overall.

So much dynamite and so little POW! A shocking underperformance by the writers this episode. But all in all still a win. (Although Mandy Moore may have had the best scene when she talked to Sophie).

There was so much pre-hotel bed chemistry and everything fizzled after. I feel there was so much unmet potential. But I still root for K&S

the thing about the ice bucket joke is that no one wants to know the ice bucket joke.

Ok, I am dumb. Can someone explain the ice bucket joke? Also loved that Sophie got to talk in the end and told Kevin to listen.
She “prayed” that he would grow up for 20 years? That didn’t ring true exactly, but I liked it and cried anyway. They have great chemistry.

I think he talked to Cassidy about them as just a head check -- "am I crazy to still be pining after Sophie? Should I move on? Are we a good fit?" because someone he loves, who knows him really well, clearly wants him to be with Cassidy (Nicky). His heart was definitely not in it.

It would have been nice to show Kevin could be happy as a single parent. One doesn’t have to be complete to have a partner.

Hubby was upset it was Sophie, said she had her chances.

The Sophie love story was the entire series for Kevin and yet we hardly saw her.

Toby and Kate seemed to get along after the divorce (teaching the English guy American football, the bar scene when they are all there to hear Jack) so I find it strange he asked Randall if “she” was ok with him being there. We assume he met Kate so maybe something happened after the scenes we know of to ruin their friendship.

So I guess everyone will have had a happy and complete life with the exception of death(s) which is part of life. I suspect the series will end on a sad note but with Randall giving a speech about life, again. I’m sure we will lose Rebecca (given), Miguel and probably Kate. But the older Randall’s girls and Jack will name their kids after the three to show it all continues.

So far this season has been a bit disappointing. Sappy and pretty predictable.

Loved the hallway banter between Uncle Nicky and Kevin. I don't even want to think about that ice bucket!!
