Then , sell your home in a year and - yes- leave the community because no one - NONE of us want a murderer among us

JFC. I am not defending or extending sympathy to these people. I am simply answering the notion pondered by a PP. Why are they staying in their home? They are staying there because there is no good reason (FOR THEM) to leave, as their position--which, yes, they did out themselves in--will not get any easier by changing houses. That decision has nothing to do with raising/not raising a psychopath, making a statement to the Petito family, or encouraging their son to turn himself in.

Agree. I have no sympathy for what his parents are going through. I hope they get charged with aiding and abetting and accessory after the fact.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has positively identified the individual whose image was captured on a deer trail camera near Baker and shared on social media, sparking nationwide speculation that it was missing North Port Florida resident Brian Laundrie.

The OCSO has confirmed the man is an Okaloosa County resident who acknowledged he was the one walking on the deer trail carrying his backpack. Several OCSO deputies familiar with the individual noticed the resemblance to the photo of the person spotted on the deer trail, as well as the presence of a neck tattoo.

The private citizen was located and a positive identification has been made.

During its search and investigation, the OCSO found no indications that Brian Laundrie is, or was, in Okaloosa County.

He's not missing. He's running. Huge difference.

Worst outcome: he is never found and the case just fizzles out with no answers. Second worst outcome: he is found dead and still no answers, nor justice.

They didn't report him missing, they aren't looking for a missing person. Their lawyer informed the police that the parents did not know where he is. They are seeking him out as a person of interest. So I doubt it.

I thought they reported him missing on Friday, but maybe the wording in the reports were misleading.
