What about Pearson

Actually, the Pearson Foundation also received a Gates Foundation grant. And, PARCC has a partnership with Gates of some type.

What about Pearson? What about the Trilateral Commission? What about the Masons? What about the Elders of Zion? Don't they belong in there somewhere, too?

Also, what nefarious plan is Bill Gates trying to fulfill with his funding? Global hegemony? Cornering the market in Rearden Metal? Making sure that fractions are taught beginning in third grade? Or what?

Now, I get it. Your job depends on Common Core in some way--or your spouse's job.

Ah, there's the real conspiracy theory.

But the truth is: no, and no.

Honey, if you think that Associations equate to states, you have been in Washington much too long.

OK, you've persuaded me. The Common Core State Standards were developed by two random DC trade associations (the trade association for the manufacturers and distributors of frozen food and the trade association for farmers of Hereford cattle, perhaps), and they were funded by Bill Gates, who is hoping to brainwash students into growing up to buy Microsoft products instead of Apple products via calling for on-grade-level fifth-graders to be able to quote accurately from an informational text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text.

Don't think so.

Created by Gates.
Funded by Gates.
Supported by Gates and the feds.

I'm assuming you are not PP. PP claims that the standards were developed by the states. They were not. They were developed by two organizations in DC with money from the Gates Foundation. Period.

Once more. This is not a state. It is an organization. It does not speak for all the states and neither does NGA.

Here's what Gates paid to CSSO in order to get support for Common Core.

Your argument seems to go like this:

1. The Gates Foundation gave grant money to the CSSO.
2. The CSSO developed the Common Core State Standards.
3. Therefore, the Gates Foundation paid the CSSO to get support for the Common Core State Standards.

I think you're missing a few steps in your argument.

Here's another 2Million to support PARCC implementation. Peanuts.
