No 9 year old is making a garrote and no mother with zero indication of prior abuse would do what was done to that child and leave her dead body in that room. Intruder all the way.
One theory is that John made the garrote, is the one who staged the body. Regardless, any intruder theory must content with the fact that Patsy wrote the ransom note. That is the least questionable piece of evidence available.

The son was only 8 and they had money. Had e done it then he not need to be covered for rhe parents would have simply called 911 as a reaction. I feel mothers don't often sometimes but usu a stupid young girl cover for the father. She hurt her abd father couldn't leave fingerprints cas note tge weapon and everything else's snacks are in house. You don't leave body with the note. You being your own kite and it not a novel. Same the McCains. The mother. Common sense.

They had been at a Christmas party--the intruder could have entered at any point in time and written the note while they were at the party--could have rummaged through the house and seen a pay stub with the bonus amount on it. They might have even been planning to just rob the house, then stumbled on that info and hatched the plan for the ransom and things got out of hand quickly. The bank teller could have even tipped off a boyfriend or whomever, or another bank customer could have overheard how much the deposit was. There are so many ways someone could have found the exact amount of the bonus, and had plenty of opportunity to write a note. That house was big--they could have been in there with the family and no one would have known.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This will forever be a baffling case. There's no evidence of an intruder yet the parents had no motive. My theory is that the son, Burke, accidentally killed JB in a tiff over a midnight snack of pineapple. He then woke up his mom to tell her they had a fight and it was Patsy who found JB dead. Knowing that the family had already lost a child, the thought of losing another child to the justice system was too much for Patsy so she concocted a cover-up to try and point the finger away from the family. Patsy wrote the bizarre random note and planted evidence of sexual assault. I don't think the dad knew until maybe 1-2 days later and by that point they were in too deep to not sustain the story.
But she WAS sexually assaulted. Brutally. Sorry to bring this up but she was penetrated by a broken paintbrush. It was f-ing awful. And the crack her on skull was something like 8 inches. I mean it was insane. I can't picture a 9 year old doing that, and I can't picture loving parents finding her dead cracking her skull more and then sexually assaulting her? Come on. That is what is a bridge too far for me.
I agree that the heinous nature of the injuries on JB seem to point to an intruder because there was no evidence of abuse within the Ramsey household. But how could it be an intruder? There was no evidence of forced entry. There's a theory an intruder came through a basement window but the crime scene pictures showed undisturbed cobwebs. But let's say an intruder got into the house that way. How did the intruder get control of JB in the house without her screaming making enough noise to garner attention? If JB was eating pineapple in the kitchen when the murderer found her, surely a stranger would have caused her to scream hysterically. Yes it was a big house, but still that's odd. And then after the molestation and murder, the killer wanted to stick around the crime scene so he went upstairs near the bedrooms to write a 3 page ransom note on Patsy's notepad and with Patsy's pen before departing? And this pedophile murder knew to ask for ransom in the exact amount of the dad's Xmas bonus? It's just downright bizarre on every level.
No the stun gun theory has been disproved. Marks were made by debris on the ground.
It was a family member inside the home.

Experts were not able to definitely say she wrote the note.

I think he killed her accidentally in a dispute and the parents were so distraught (trying to protect him and themselves because they were aware of the abuse) that they staged a "weird" crime scene and got lucky because the police were inept.
I think so too. Brother had/has issues.
