Saudis own a lot of property in McLean. Doesn’t mean it is the embassy though.
I heard they own several properties off of Chain Bridge and overlooking the Potomac too.
If you start researching, you’ll see a lot of foreign people own houses around here and some remain empty for years as in Potomac.
Saudis have been buying up the houses on chain bridge road overlooking the Potomac for a few years now. Kind of mysterious as they try very hard to keep their identities hidden for the transactions. They even bought the Robb property after the fire - who knows what they’re up but it’s pretty nice (and nicely positioned) real estate

The crew chief is in the back. The instructor pilot (the one with 1000+ hrs) was the co-pilot in this case and he would have been the one talking to ATC. While the pilot on the controls and doing all the flying is the one ”sticking to the route” and using all 4 limbs to do that. In this case the pilot was the one being evaluated by the more senior co-pilot. So the person you could hear in the recording is most likely the co-pilot/instructor, not the actual pilot flying the plane

This still means that BOTH pilots got confused/mistaken about which plane they were giving "visual separation" to. Hopefully one day we will know why.
What is weird from the videos, and i could be totally wrong, is that the helo was flying straight towards the plane for several seconds. So the 1000 hour white make pilot got it wrong (too?). It wasn't a sudden manuever by the pilot that put the Helo in the plane's path.
Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe he instructed
the pilot to decrease altitude or change course and they didn’t/couldn't/wouldn’t
in time. How much time elapses between the contact with ATC and the crash?
They were initially told about the inbound plane approaching runway 33 several minutes before the crash.

Can’t believe someone was dumb enough to actually ask him to visit the collision site. He should’ve said oh You mean in the middle of the sky?
These are softball questions. Obviously the reporter meant the site of the recovery efforts. the "collision site" can encompass the entire area, not simply the point in space where the aircraft collided.
But more to the point, this is an opportunity for him to praise the first responders, explain the importance of the effort to recover information that will help us find out what happened and how to prevent it from happening again, and once again express condolences to the families. In other words, an easy opportunity to look/be presidential.
But he's a nasty POS with a personality disorder, so instead he's unnecessarily combative.
+1. So exhausting.
I hate Giuliani but look at how great he did after 9/11 with seeming like a caring human being. The fact that a politician who was elected oresdent can’t at least fake this is truly shocking.
Yup. It’s extremely easy to do the right thing here. It takes work to fvk this up.
Don't worry, Vance is waiting in the wings ready to talk about how the GOP needs to be more compassionate when people die because of their party's greed.

Haven't been yet since this news but if it is open that area to public, you could try laying flowers or spending a few minutes there.

I don’t even have the energy to get into how despicable the statements by the commander in chief are.
