horrible showing for an academy, yes D was horrendous
Agreed. It proves what has been said here all along. The kids aren't learning how to play football. The u15 game shows that they are just not at the same level. Union beat them 6-0! U14 game could have gone either way. U16 game was a tie but DCU wasn't the better team. Regardless of the scores, and even if DCU won all the games across their four age groups, DCU is just not at the same level as the top academies in this country. Period.
When the U15's beat New York Red Bulls 6:2 last week, the low self-esteem haters said the game score didn't matter
The U15's missing all their top players lost to Philly Union 6:0 and now the score is the entire story 🤣🤣
The score doesn't matter. They could have won the game 6-0 and it would be the same. DCU is not a top academy and not developing players. Anyone who thinks differently is living a lie. Just so happens that it is also the case that they can barely compete against other MLS academies. In fact, they can't dominate the local DMV clubs. If they had these results AND were producing players I could understand. The focus is on player development and production. Not winning games. But they have these results and are NOT producing players, which begs the question...what the hell are they doing?
Your jaded opinion is what doesn't matter
Back to back weekends:
DCU vs Nashville
1W 1D
DCU vs NY Red Bulls
1W 1L
DCU vs Philly Union

If according to your opinion, DCUA is the worst academy, then all academies must be bad.
All of those other academies invest more, have more, give more and just care more about the players and their development than DCU. If DCU beat all of them it really doesn't matter. They just don't have the credibility.
Curious George here.
How many players that have been at MLS academies for at least 4-5 years are now in the Premier League?
just using EPL because it's the best league in the world
the player you're talking.about isn't in the the premier league. He is on the u21s. Big difference. It's like saying the academy kids at DCU play in the MLS.
I'll feel free to jump in and say, the player who is a DC United Academy graduate is not only at a Premier League club but has been rostered multiple times for Premier League games
Your lies and false narratives hold no water
Take your self pity and self hate and go wallow in a corner.
You said he's "in" the premier league. Big difference than at a premier league club. Being in the premier league implies he is playing in the premier league which he is in fact not. That would mean he would have gone from.not starting or playing practically at all at DC United to playing in the Premier League in a few months!? Ridiculous to even imply that. Yes, clubs sometimes put a new academy player on the game day roster in an emergency and mainly for the experience and feeling. He had no real chance of getting in the game the one day he was rostered on game day. As a u21 player he has a ways to go before he makes the first team especially as a center back with no experience in Europe and barely any top flight playing in the US. Those are facts my.friend. He has great physical potential and that is what the clubs like in him. It's just a matter of whether he can match his physical potential with his technical ability, tactical understanding and speed of play in Europe. If he can do that, he could be a very strong pro. But it will take time. Why he is on the u21s. They know he is raw at the moment. He was raw for the MLS. Why he barely played. Even more more so for the premier league. The best league in the world.
Why are you a grown man hating on this kid because he and his family are accomplishing what you can only dream of?
You look in the mirror and hate the failure you see.

Can you share the rejection letter you received from DCU?
No rejection letters...just years of knowledge and experience with how inept DCU is with their academy.
Your kid knows how devastated you are they aren't academy material?
