Because if you roll over without a fight when a foreign invader comes then you are only emboldening them to move on to the next invasion.

- Former Western leaders, including Americans, Germans, etc, routinely undercut sanctions - we must be consistent and steady with sanctions if they are to have any impact for Putin. She suggests Putin already factored in sanctions to the calculus.

- Putin, like Hitler, sees invading Ukraine as a matter of National security and will not stop.

Turkey hasn’t confirmed this and it wasn’t in the Turkish readout of the call. It’s probably just a request right now

At this point, I think you are just trolling.
They believe they CAN win. And, most of us are hoping they are right.
And, the incident you are referring to happened on Snake Island, not a bridge. And, it appears that all 13 soldiers were in agreement that the Russian warships f off.

Just a simple question,....... if a foreign power, let's say China .... invaded the US in an effort to take over our country, would you want the US not to fight?
