Also, if Aug-Dec SY players dont play up when they switch over to MLSN1 BY they'll be playing against biobanders 3 levels above them.

Hahahaha, I never thought about that.

Young Aug players will have to play with their grade not down with a younger team if they want to get recruited and play for a BY MLSN HG team.
Aug-Dec might as well stay playing on age and in Sy because of RAE rather than sitting on an MLSN1 BY bench as the youngest on the team.

Give it up, MLSN1 coaches will know a trojan horse when they see it.

Simple rule of thumb for a player, go to the best team with the constraint that a minimum 50% of playing time. Better to be a starter. You cannot get recruited from the bench.

There have been people that post about their experiences. But Mr play by age quickly spams them until their post gets pushed off the page.

They seem to be leaning to play with their grade.

Not what I'm seeing at my club. I'm seeing some who want to, based on being on the team forever AND others wanting to play on age because the chance to get before 100 scouts vs. 5 at showcases. Whether the club indulges either is yet to be seen BUT this is good they can do either, because that's what individuals may need.

Funny how older kids playing down seems to work out for some. The younger players that are getting screwed unfortunately don't say anything.

Younger players benefit from getting these more experienced players on their team, if they can hang. It'll make them better than they otherwise would be.

Funny how folks default their thinking to equate older with better
Yeah, older players better. It's RAE, so to look better play with younger.

Those are not “older” players. They are players who were lucky enough to play up for years and they developed better compared to the actual age group. So deal with it. Why is everyone panicking?SY is a done deal. Deal with it guys.
Except they didn't play up of course.

They played on age and they survived the affects of RAE, meaning they're good players and this is a chance to definitely stand out as they take their turn as being the oldest in the group.

That's a good statement

It won't work out if those younger players step up and bring it.

OK, then give up, I guess? There's a new age range. The best players will play on the top teams. Plenty of opportunity for those who seek it.

You may need to read more about RAE

If you can't control a ball against your age, you still can't control a ball against younger
No, I got it right, "The Relative Age Effect (RAE) is a bias where individuals born earlier in a selection period (like a calendar year or academic year) have a significant advantage in age-grouped activities..."
