Perhaps Elon should have had this conversation with Tim Cook before running his mouth, but what fun would that be?

Or Tim Cook realized how bad it would be for Apple if Tesla developed its own phone. Apple has been hinting at a car for over a decade, but either couldn't do it, or the margins weren't worth it.

Could have simply just been some underling at Apple trying to make calls above their station. Cook then came in to clean up the mess and clarify and/or threw underling under the bus to save face with Musk.

DP. I won’t hold my breath for Tesla to develop its own phone.

It's more plausible than any other explanation.

Just as we assumed what the end game would be

Left-Wing Voices Are Silenced on Twitter as Far-Right Trolls Advise Elon Musk
Elon Musk appears to have out-sourced decisions about who to ban from Twitter to the platform’s right-wing extremists.

Is there any evidence that Apple has made a threat to pull the Twitter app other than the word of a serial liar?

Nope.

THIS.

Where is the proof Apple has “threatened” Twitter? Elon lies just as often as Trump.

My guess is that Apple reminded Elon of Apple’s terms of use - no porn, no illegal activity on apps if you want to remain in the App Store.
