Vladimir Putin severely underestimates the will of the Ukrainian people to fight for their country AND misjudged the support he had from the Russian people for his unlawful power grab.
After days of fighting, Putin fails in his effort, is overthrown by the citizenry of Russia and is jailed. The citizens of Russia decide that they would prefer to be governed by a strong leader like Zelenskyy and vote to become part of Ukraine, thus dissolving Russia as we know it.

You must not understand that for many people, freedom is worth sacrificing one's life.
Well, the person you are responding to likely has tantrums around the freedom not to wear a mask during a pandemic, not understanding what ACTUAL freedom entails.
I mean, the patriots to the PP are the people who attacked the Capitol, whereas in Uktraine, the patriots in Ukraine are DEFENDING the capital.

Because they are a sovereign nation. Because they value their independence. Because Russians have already made it clear they are rounding up and butchering anyone they perceived as “anti-Russian”, which means every Ukrainian is fair game. This. The IC has released info that Russia's plan is to round up family members of solders or people of power and if they don't tell them where they are or come back, they will kill the family.
