But let's not let the details get in the way of the DCU bashing by the parents who's kids aren't good enough for the Academy and are obsessed with stalking 13 and 14 year olds and grinding axes
Keep holding on to the fallacy that DCU is a great place to be...
No academy in America is a "great" place to be in general, unless your final goal is college soccer.
You keep holding on to the fallacy that bad-mouthing any club or academy is going to improve your kid's situation or make you feel better he couldn't make it

horrible showing for an academy, yes D was horrendous
Agreed. It proves what has been said here all along. The kids aren't learning how to play football. The u15 game shows that they are just not at the same level. Union beat them 6-0! U14 game could have gone either way. U16 game was a tie but DCU wasn't the better team. Regardless of the scores, and even if DCU won all the games across their four age groups, DCU is just not at the same level as the top academies in this country. Period.
When the U15's beat New York Red Bulls 6:2 last week, the low self-esteem haters said the game score didn't matter
The U15's missing all their top players lost to Philly Union 6:0 and now the score is the entire story 🤣🤣

embarrassment for local academy is it recruitments or preparations, offense non existence defense a ghost. 2011 could had done better
DCU has talents but are they the best talents in the area??? When too much politics or back alley networks are involved and it shows thru their recruitment and selection. More talented players with little network are overlooked.
Politics is a part of football. But, you're right, DCU is lazy as hell in their recruiting. They go off of what they "hear" and show up to games where people they know have given them a nudge. You could argue that this happens everywhere and in my opinion that is true. But what makes the situation at DCU way worse is that they have one scout. ONE. For the entire DMV. That is actually absurd because there is no balance to the decisions (ie multiple voices weighing in consistently) and there is only one person to manipulate in an area that has mastered manipulation. And the one scout they have has solid coaching credentials but no scouting credentials. Very different skill sets. Not everyone has an eye for talent or the experience to understand what a 12 year old who is decent now might like in 6 years.
Phila beat 1-0 against syc, this is the same team well missing couple players just schooled dcu
SYC 2010 can't suck that bad if the same Academy team that schooled DCU got only 1 goal against SYC.![]()
