Hopefully, there won’t be layoffs at BVA. However, if layoffs are needed, why not make the BVA Attorney Advisor position promotable to GS-12? That way, we can save jobs and get paid commensurate to our decision writing colleagues at SSA.

same troll different day. get a life dude.

Camaraderie? Processing appeals is a solitary job that involves very little collaboration. Any time spent on "camaraderie" is time not processing appeals. I doubt the vets care whether BVA employees are social with their coworkers.

he's trolling. The person who posted this is a pathetic loser with no life, and no connection to BVA, who seeks joy out of coming on here and posting nonsense so he can see how many people he can get a reaction from, don't feed him.

How am I trolling? I’m just expressing my opinion. You’re free to disagree with me, but your disagreement with my opinion doesn’t mean that I’m trolling. Moreover, please don’t refer to me by gendered pronouns. I’m non-binary.

Clear troll. Doesn't realize that the vast majority of AAs don't live in NCR, the board was remote before Covid, and most AAs hired as remote employees so that the board could attract much needed talent across the states to decrease the massive backlog of cases. Any RTO would severely cripple the board ability to not only produce decisions, but also chip away at the still large backlog of pending appeals.

Either that or they clearly don't care about veterans.

I’m simply voicing my support for Secretary Collins’ RTO plans and urging him to go further and require full time FTO for everyone at the Board pursuant to the expressed wishes of President Trump and Elon Musk.

Yes, l an obvious troll. To any veterans or other members of the public who may be looking at this, requiring BVA employees to work from an office will result in LESS work being done, not more.

Anonymous wrote:This is the slightest glimmer of hope I saw today. SSA received memo today for RTO for non-bargaining employees which begins on 3/5 (crazy for 2-days notice) but anyway, the memo stated that office of hearing operations (OHO) could remain remote. OHO includes their judges and decision writing attorneys. So even though the attorneys at SSA in OHO are bargaining until, the judges aren’t. So there is at least some evidence of agencies keeping a people remote for a division that is similar to BVA!

SSA ALJs have their own union.

I’m at SSA (and following what is happening at the VA). I’m not sure if it’s a huge glimmer of hope because we’re in the midst of a giant reorg. I feel like this is just a pause until they come up with the next terrible thing to push us out until everyone can fit into a building. But I’m fairly cynical at this point.

To our SSA decision writing colleagues, do not worry. Change is difficult, but you’re in good hands with Lee.

This a joke? Lee is just a butt-kisser.
