More details on some who were arrested.

ICE arrested 11 Iranian illegal migrants in the U.S. since Sunday. A U.S. citizen who threatened to kill ICE law enforcement while harboring an illegal alien from Iran was also arrested, according to ICE.

According to an ICE release, some of the arrests include:

1) Ribvar Karimi arrested in Locust, Alabama. Karimi reportedly served as an Iranian Army sniper from 2018 to 2021. He entered the U.S. on a K-1 visa, which is reserved for aliens engaged to be married to American citizens, in October 2024 under the Biden administration. Karimi never adjusted his status and is now removable, according to ICE.

2) Behzad Sepehrian Bahary Nejad was arrested by ICE Houston. He had a final order of removal and was carrying a loaded 9mm pistol when he was arrested, according to ICE. Sepehrian entered the U.S. in Houston on Dec. 9, 2016, on an F-1 student visa. On Aug. 19, 2017, Harris County police arrested him for assaulting a family member by impeding breathing. His wife told the local assistant district attorney that Sepehrian was threatening her and obtained a restraining order against him. In 2018, the University of Texas terminated Sepehrian’s status after he was placed on academic suspension.

3) Also in Houston, ICE arrested Hamid Reza Bayat, an Iranian national who was ordered removed by an immigration judge nearly 20 years ago. According to ICE, h was twice convicted of drug crimes and once convicted of driving on a suspended license.

4) Yousef Mehridehno was arrested in Gluckstadt, Mississippi. The U.S. government terminated Mehridehno’s residency in 2017 after determining he lied on his original visa application and committed potential marriage fraud. In February, Mehridehno was listed as a known or suspected terrorist.

In Arizona, ICE agents arrested Mehrzad Asadi Eidivand, an Iranian citizen with a final order of removal. At the same home, Linet Vartaniann, a U.S. Citizen was arrested for harboring the illegal migrant. Vartaniann threatened to open fire on ICE officials if they entered her home, then said she would go outside and “shoot ICE officers in the head," according to ICEICE arrested 11 Iranian illegal migrants in the U.S. since Sunday. A U.S. citizen who threatened to kill ICE law enforcement while harboring an illegal alien from Iran was also arrested, according to ICE.

Wow, they managed to find actual criminals?!

It was probably an accident.

Look closely through this thread and the other threads about illegal immigration. You will see hundreds of criminals who have been highlighted. And these are just a drop in the bucket.

Here’s a few more for your edification.

What is your point? Nobody s arguing for these people to stay. Nobody. Who are you arguing with?

Not arguing with anyone.
Proving that ICE does indeed arrest criminals to the idiots here who claim otherwise.

For every criminal, they are detaining 10 non-criminals.

See the problem?

Those criminals they have listed as being detained have mostly committed traffic violations and DUIs.

According to the government since this massive raid began here are some of the crimes the immigrants committed since October 2024 through May 2025

5,597 criminal aliens arrested so far. Since fiscal year starting October 1 2024 a total of about 200,00 have been detained.

Crime of illegal entry or reentry- 3,241
DUI, traffic violations - 1,038
Drugs trafficking 609
Domestic Violence assault 443
Robbery, theft, fraud. 264
Homicide, manslaughter. 14
Sexual offense - 86
Weapons - 84

In 2024 the ATF initiated 24,208 firearms cases. 7,432 were prosecuted.
The majority (96%) of individuals sentenced for federal firearms offenses were United States citizens.

So no, we are not safer now that ICE is running around Home Depot. Construction sites, meat packing factories, farms and restaurant kitchens rounding up people at their jobs.

Their first law breaking activity is entering illegally.

Many of those arrested have been previously arrested for other crimes. And others have been arrested for reentering after previous deportation.

They then they go and break another law.

You think DUI is no big deal??? Talk to some of the families whose lived ones have been killed by an illegal alien driving under the influence.

You post this every other page and it still doesn't make it correct or accurate. the SCOTUS disagrees with you and it has been in conservative control since the 1970's.

DP. How do you know that "many of those arrested have been previously arrested for other crimes"? Because the government propaganda channel told you so? Please link to stats proving that point.

Who said that DUIs are not a big deal? There are about 1 million DUI cases per year. About 1,000 are committed by illegal immigrants. Do you think it might be a good idea to work on stopping American born citizens from driving drunk?

American born citizens are committing virtually all of the crimes. Bush Jr and Dick Cheney both convicted of DUIs. Matt Goetz DUI conviction didn’t stop Trump from trying to make him the Attorney General. Just an example of how we tend to ignore DUIs in important people.

We are not safer from drunk drivers because they are typically Americans. Politicians can take one horrific crime or DUI of an illegal immigrant and create a world where this is a common occurrence. It’s not. Why aren’t we focusing on the massive DUI problem Americans have?

I don’t know why these people are continuing to show up for their immigration appointments. At this point, it’s safer if they don’t show up and just move to another state with no forwarding address.

This would make them a felon.

Whatever. And you have to be convicted first.

I want ICE to go to South Miami BeachFL and Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn and round up all those Russians who are illegally in the country. They’ve taken over entire areas, and no they are not here legally. Most overstayed their visas.

This is remarkable. New Quinnipiac poll finds support for path to legalization for most undocumented immigrants has risen to 64%. Only 31% want most of them deported.

That's a 14 point net swing for legalization since Trump took office.

On immigration generally, he's at 41-57

I was coming to post the same thing. Here are some other findings of the same poll listed under topic areas and a link to the poll results and questions.

ICE

Voters 56 - 39 percent disapprove of the way U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE, is doing its job.

Republicans (77 - 17 percent) approve of the way ICE is doing its job, while Democrats (89 - 9 percent) and independents (64 - 32 percent) disapprove of the way ICE is doing its job.

LOS ANGELES PROTESTS

Voters 55 - 43 percent disapprove of President Trump's decision to send National Guard troops to respond to protests in Los Angeles.

Voters 60 - 37 percent disapprove of President Trump's decision to send U.S. Marines to respond to protests in Los Angeles.

TRUMP JOB APPROVAL

Forty-one percent of voters approve of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president, while 54 percent disapprove. This compares to Quinnipiac University's June 11 poll when 38 percent approved and 54 percent disapproved.

In today's poll, Republicans (87 - 9 percent) approve, while Democrats (92 - 6 percent) and independents (64 - 31 percent) disapprove.

TRUMP'S HANDLING OF SEVEN ISSUES

the military: 45 percent approve, while 49 percent disapprove, with 6 percent not offering an opinion;
immigration issues: 41 percent approve, while 57 percent disapprove, with 2 percent not offering an opinion;
foreign policy: 40 percent approve, while 54 percent disapprove, with 5 percent not offering an opinion;
the Israel - Iran war: 39 percent approve, while 53 percent disapprove, with 8 percent not offering an opinion;
the economy: 39 percent approve, while 56 percent disapprove, with 6 percent not offering an opinion;
deportations: 39 percent approve, while 59 percent disapprove, with 3 percent not offering an opinion;
trade: 38 percent approve, while 55 percent disapprove, with 7 percent not offering an opinion.

POLITICALLY MOTIVATED VIOLENCE

Ninety-one percent of voters think that politically motivated violence in the United States today is either a very serious problem (54 percent) or a somewhat serious problem (37 percent), while 8 percent think it is either a not so serious problem (6 percent) or not a problem at all (2 percent).

MOST URGENT ISSUE

Given a list of nine issues and asked which is the most urgent one facing the country today, preserving democracy in the United States (24 percent) ranks at the top, followed by the economy (19 percent), immigration (18 percent), and international conflicts (15 percent). No other issue reached double digits.

In Quinnipiac University's polls on January 29 and March 13, the economy topped the list.

DEMOCRACY

Nearly half of voters (49 percent) think the system of democracy in the United States is not working, while 43 percent say it is working.
Among those voters who think the system of democracy in the United States is not working, 60 percent blame the Republicans, while 15 percent blame the Democrats. Twenty percent volunteered that they blame both the Republicans and the Democrats and 3 percent volunteered that they blame neither party.

A vast majority of voters (73 percent) do not think democracy in the United States will end in their lifetime, while 17 percent think democracy in the United States will end in their lifetime.

REPUBLICAN TAX & SPENDING BILL

Seventy-one percent of voters say they have heard or read either a lot (36 percent) or some (35 percent) about the Republican tax and spending bill named One Big Beautiful Bill Act, while 28 percent say they have heard or read either not too much (12 percent) or not much at all (16 percent) about the bill.

Fifty-five percent oppose the bill, while 29 percent support it, with 16 percent not offering an opinion.

This compares to Quinnipiac University's June 11 poll, when 53 percent of voters opposed the bill, 27 percent supported it, and 20 percent did not offer an opinion.

Voters are split on one of the bill's measures that would require new qualifications to receive health insurance through Medicaid. The change would require able-bodied adults under 65 years old who are not disabled to prove they are working or volunteering at least 80 hours a month. Forty-seven percent of voters support the measure, while 46 percent oppose it.

Illegal immigration- it is illegal.

And the Supreme Court, on multiple cases, affirmed that simply being in the country illegally does not constitute a crime.
They are still subject to deportation.
And there is a law being enforced now, requiring all aliens to register with the government. Failure to register is a felony offense.

There is no such federal law. Immigration is a federal jurisdiction matter, not state.

DP
Yes there is.

8 U.S. Code § 1302 - Registration of aliens

(a) It shall be the duty of every alien now or hereafter in the United States, who (1) is fourteen years of age or older, (2) has not been registered and fingerprinted under section 1201(b) of this title or section 30 or 31 of the Alien Registration Act, 1940, and (3) remains in the United States for thirty days or longer, to apply for registration and to be fingerprinted before the expiration of such thirty days.

"The Justice Department sued all 15 federal district court judges in Maryland on Tuesday over an order that pauses any deportations under legal challenge in the state for 48 hours. Legal experts described the move as an unprecedented attack on judicial independence, while government lawyers said it was necessary to preserve President Donald Trump’s constitutional authority over immigration.

Longtime court watchers said they could not recall another instance in which the Justice Department, which usually represents members of the judicial branch in court, sued the entire roster of judges in a district.

I could not and would not be a line attorney in this DOJ administration. I don’t think I could ethically defend many of these actions. Time to move on.
