TL;DR

FCV will not be allowed to lease the field space at the Evergreen Sportsplex (now called RavenTek Park) due to expansion of VRSC's soccer program starting next season
VRSC got GA, and CC left FCV to lead VRSC GA program starting next season (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/virginia-revolution_meet-our-girls-academy-directorchristian-activity-7163985553103773698-vdyL/)
BP is leaving FCV to go to VDA to lead their Girls ECNL program (https://www.vdasoccer.org/vda-welcomes-bobby-puppione-to-the-club)
Speaking of GA, a lot of FCV GA girls are jumping ship from FCV to GA next season, partly due to field space not being announced, and partly because ALL of their established coaches have left or are leaving...
Lots of FCV GA girls seen at various ECNL tryouts all over the area
Mixed reviews of FCV's new GA Directors BC and AC causing more players to look elsewhere
Rumor mill is on fire so take whatever from this you will

FCV is GA - so they aren't leaving FOR a GA team
Lots of very positive reviews of new FCV coaches too.
You will not learn anything of value from these parents on this forum.
Run from VDA (BP)

Dawg, we get it - Bobby didn’t like your kid.

He’s still putting 10 kids in D1 every year.

Enough salt here to mine for Zelda.

They won't have the fall permits until summer.

Because that’s not what this guy is telling people. Way back in February at multiple in person meetings he told parents they were about to have a deal in place for new turf fields. That it was imminent and would happen and be announced tomorrow. He even pulled out his phone when he said it looking to see if he had received the email yet. He did this in front of lots of people over and over. It didn’t happen but he hasn’t said why.

A simple “the deal fell through and now we are awaiting allocations by the counties in the summer” would be fine at this point, but he’s gone silent on the subject which makes everyone assume the worst. Because he now has a pattern of saying things that don’t happen.

When he introduced the new boys and girls directors and GA coach to the parents on the sideline at practice, he essentially said exactly what you claim to want him to say—like every year before, they will go through the county allocation process and, although it will be hand-to-hand combat with LS (which also aims to maximize its allocation), they ultimately will get the fields they need. He said multiple people on the staff (including one of the new guys who was standing there and reinforced what he was saying) have years of experience going through this process, so there is nothing for parents to worry about. Since you obviously do not believe him, why not just join another club? VRSC has plenty of fields . . .

TL;DR for your TL;DR
FCV is losing their main field space, the coaches are leaving, and 60-90% of the players from every team are also leaving. For the upcoming 24-25 season - field space is unknown, coaches are all new, and it's very possible some teams will have insufficient rosters. Proceed with caution.

Possible? Some of these girls are already filling vacancies on GA teams and they are performing awfully. Doms favorites who are moving up can't even run up and down the field they are so out of shape. It's embarrassing.

Anonymous wrote:So if everyone else already has a fair allocation, and FCV should have more fields based on losing private space, then how do they decide who to take from?

g
Presumably the same way they decided who got the extra space after they subtracted from FCV for having access to Evergreen.

FCV can't catch a break. Static move to replace BP with AB.

He's just constantly wheeling and dealing, and the things he says ends up being a 180 from what ends up happening. I just want to see outcomes lining up to what he says.

I believe around page 150 there was back and forth discussion about FCV being For Profit and not prioritized like the NPO soccer clubs, that already struggle to get enough space for their teams.
