So what? Everyone knows CA has the highest gas prices in the nation for various reasons, including higher overall taxes and more regulations. Gas prices are much higher in Europe than they are in the US for similar reasons.
If you haven't started yet, use the Gas Buddy app to find the cheapest gas prices around you. They can vary widely even within a few miles. Or get a Costco membership for cheaper gas.

Yep. Have been traveling up/down the East coast for weeks. Finding gas at approx. $4.50-4.60/gal. Also seen many, many trucks delivering all sorts of things: Michaels, dollar store, food stores, cars, Prime . . . and those are just the ones I recall making a note of. Economy IS moving despite the lying bullsh-- talking points being circulated.
