Just in case anyone thought the far right religious nuts knew anything about conception or pregnancy (or evidenced even a modicum of compassion for their fellow man), I give you the above PP. You apparently don't know much about plan b. It only works if you have not ovulated. And not always then either. And funny thing about pregnancy is that you do not test positive until 4 weeks - minimum. And even then you don't always test positive at 4 weeks or even 5 weeks. You can have low HCG and get false negatives - leading one to believe that you're not pregnant at all. So you could go a few weeks thinking that everything is just fine. Also, you cannot get an abortion from a provider until yolk sac is present in ultrasound. That does not always appear by 6 weeks!! I've had pregnancies where you could not see anything at 6 weeks. Early pregnancy is a very tricky thing. Most conservatives and religious loons don't bother to learn the details of it. 2 weeks time to be able to get a pregnancy test, have an ultrasound for visual confirmation and schedule an abortion is BS. GOP knew that when they drafted it. It was an impossible hurdle. Screw them and the religious nut cases.

Another new Texas law that may sway you is not requiring a permit to open carry any longer.

The abortion law will ONLY apply to those who are not wealthy enough to buy a plane ticket and take time off. If you cannot cobble together funds and time to get out of state, a pregnancy would be a disastrous hardship.

Misrepresenting the law doesn’t help your case. There is an exemption for the health of the mother.

I am a Texan and am so upset at my home state right now. There's been many embarrassing moments, but this really tops them all. I will say - for perspective - that 5,259,126 Texans voted for Joe Biden last year. By comparison, only 2,413,568 Virginians and 1,985,023 Marylanders. So, the number of Texas Ds who showed up to vote in 2020 outnumbers all of us in MD and VA combined (only 4,398,591). Add in DC at about 400K and TX Ds are still more numerous. That's a lot of women and men who are crushed and completely disenfranchised after everything that they put in last year. That's all of us. Imagine that. And, of course, not to mention all of those women who will be affected regardless of whether or how they voted. A LOT of Texas Dems have been fighting tooth and nail over these issues for years (I'm friends with many). Texas Ds are numerous and could use a little help about now.

And as a reminder, Texas gubernatorial elections in 2022. Statewide elections 2022, as well. Reproductive rights (and the right to not be turned into a lynch mob) will be issue number one in TX next year. If we want to help from the DMV, we can donate heavily and campaign for Ds across the state -

Send a student to any red state for college moving forward is a huge mistake.

Doesn't matter which side of the thought process you stand on.

They can be killed be vigilantes for doing something innocent ie dropping a friend off and the friend may not have told them.

Think about it people you want to take that chance for a college in a red state.
