You have noooooooooooo idea how I parent. You are just pissed that I have you pegged.
Re the Britax marketing though, I am confused - word of mouth would seem to be the best kind of marketing because it means people like it enough to talk about it. Whats so wrong with that? That would seem to say alot about the product. I bought one because nearly everyone I spoke to (and the research I did online and on this site) said it was great, safe, easy to use, comfortable, etc. To me, the extra money was worth those things for a product that I would use for several years. For my second seat though, we bought a Vogage because I understand it is the same but cheaper. If I had known that beforehand, we would have bought two of those.
Flame away

I second that!!! Sick if you ask me!!

Parents that stuff their huge 4 or 5 year old into a stroller. People - teach that kid to WALK!
Oh please. If you live in the city and walk everywhere, your child will need a break. I think that sitting in a stroller in the fresh air is way better than driving your kid around in a carseat all day. Watching DVDs in the back seat probably...
To each their own.

It is!
I love my 800 dollar stroller - it is elegant looking and less tacky than the plastic things at Babys are Us. I also paid a ton for a leather car seat to match my cars interior. I buy my kids adorable Burberry sweaters and Italian leather shoes. I only shop at Whole Foods and don't even look at the price tags. Why? Because I can afford it. My kids go to private school and I also have a full-time nanny, don't work, shop and go to the gym and my husband and I eat out at least 3 nights a week. Do you hate me? I don't care - I have a pretty nice life.Bye!

Do these $800 strollers have airbags?
And someone to push them while making me cocktails and giving me weekly pedicures?
