McDonald’s also packs your food. Do you or would you tip there too? No. No you wouldn’t. It’s the same thing.

Well actually I do give something. I'm fortunate that I have choices now. When I was growing up, I didn't and sure needed those tips to get through school and life. Bringing it forward.

The tipping culture is out of control in the U.S.

Is a $5 tip a lot of money to you and your family?

Nothing on takeouts. I refuse to play tipping games.

I tip 20% when I buy a car. It is a lot of work selling cars and they wash it before they bring it to you.

No need to be snarky. Car salesmen don't depend on tips for a living.

You sure do. It's in the monthly payment under warranty or 'other' even if you declined them. It may have also cost you a day or months to forget the ordeal of buying a car.

Yes, I still do. Not 20%, but 10%. I do take out frequently and go to the same places. I want them to continue to be there.

I usually tip 15% on takeout, but I don't order it more than once a month. Tonight I ordered online at 5 Guys and tipped 20%. A bus load of teenagers had just been dropped off before I got there, and the staff was so conscientious to get me my food in the chaos. So glad I tipped ahead of time.

Nothing on takeout.
I did during COVID because they lost so much revenue. But nothing now.
