What defines "compete?" A winning season? Pride went 4-4, and I don't think they would NL would beat pride. Crush went 5-2 and did not make the playoffs, and they were heads above anyone in the B division. Did NL play against BLC in a fall tourney or scrimmage? BLC blue went 1-7.

Agreed, but the comment was in reference to "top A teams" which Hero's White is not (exception is 2026)
There def could be a NL kid added to Hero's White.
True...but I guarantee their goal is to be a contender in A so they will look to improve.

The top girls on those programs would definitely make the top MD programs. Would some not be the #1 player? Yes, I do track, my kid is a goalie and I know every roster on every NGLL team, that along with knowing parents on those clubs and talking each summer about who came or left.

Agree +100. The big MD teams are definitely complete teams top to bottom and that is what sets them apart...especially in the younger years. They don't have any girls with skill deficits. All 22 girls on the roster are as good as the B teams top girls. The top 4 B teams, all had a few girls that could earn a roster spot on the MD teams. The big difference is that there is a drop off in skill level and lax iq as you move down the roster. There are still girls on the bottom end of the roster that have a significant gap in skills.

I can think of two girls from NL ‘27, ‘28 and ‘29 who could play on any A team. They are special players.

This is not true for NL. Not in the slightest.
I know three girls at NL that started at MC Elite. Not taking anything away from NL at all by the way just pointing out that all these girls could have been at MC Elite but .....here we are

Yeah - NL got some solid players from MC Elite but the core has been there from the beginning.
