I figured someone would bring this up FYI Arlington 08 was missing a key player that probably would've made the difference and more than likely with ECNL we'll have a stronger team next year while SYC might lose half the team
where do I want to play next year CCL or ECNL?
By the sound of the score, CCL or ECNL, what’s the difference?
Any moron can tell you the difference, ECNL has a higher level of competition while CCL is a joke of a league SYC only has the luxury of combining two clubs (LMVS and SYC) to form a somewhat decent team eventually Arlington will get the last laugh while SYC stays in CCL
Then why did a ECNL team get spanked by a CCL team 0-2?
Get over yourself PP. 2-0 is NOT a spanking and is merely just a game with 12 year old girls. I bet your DD was treated to her favorite dinner after the game and was even able to have dessert and, of course, reminded of great she is and they’re gonna win a trophy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Considering SYC is two leagues lower than Arlington, now that they are in ECNL, not scoring a goal and losing by 2 is about as much a spanking as you can get. Ask yourself how the game went.
There was a lot of bragging in here about Arlington getting in ECNL and now one of your teams of the future lost to a CCL team next door. It is pretty hilarious.
Exactly who is going to flock to Arlington now who isn't there already?
Frankly Arlington parents are the clubs worst ambassadors. You all come off as arrogant douches.
DP. Stay classy, SYC.
Not SYC but I certainly enjoy seeing Arlington lose.
That’s a pretty crappy attitude toward kids, pp. What is wrong with you?
Oh please. The initial response to the post about SYC’s victory was congratulating those kids by reminding all of them about how that better team would be in a “lower” league next year. That doesn’t seem like a really good attitude about kids. Nor are all the tweets broadcasting routs over other U11 teams. But yes, now that Arlington is losing, it’s all about the kids and their delicate psyches.
I wasn’t part of those earlier discussions so I am not responsible for them. I think anyone who indulges in open schadenfreude directed at children needs to examine their values and priorities a bit. Celebrate the wins, but there’s no virtue in needlessly beating kids down for their losses just to boost your own sense of worth. Let’s be better, and model better for our kids.
Please direct your comments to Arlington about being better and better role models for kids. Arlington parents have been engaging in this kind of chest-beating 24/7/365. You should call that out if you mean what you say. If not, your hypocrisy is rank.
The comment applies to anyone, regardless of club. There’s lots of poor behavior going in here all around.
No kidding. But some are doing it a lot more than others. Clean your house first and then you can preach.
You don’t even know what “house” I’m from, you’re just making assumptions that are convenient for your preferred narrative.

Didn't the SYC 08 girls get beaten by Arlington's second team in CCL?
Wouldn't that make Arlington's ECNL team worse than their B team then?
What was that, week one or two of the fall season, following no spring season?
