For elementary school - yes, I favor it.

I think it would also help address the issues with working parents in middle income brackets who face the costs of summer camp. It's a burden.

Like do you think the low income students suffering right now are the ones also worried they have to give up pool and travel? No. The advocacy is ENTIRELY self serving for most of these people.

I’m a nurse and I would love a modified calendar because my employer only gives me one week in the summer and that really limits where we can go.

Let alone be in bed in pjs while class is happening. I’ve taken some nice pictures of them for remembering in the future how well they had it.

People should stop using the term “year round”. It’s not accurate and is confusing. When FCPS had schools on this type of schedule it was called a modified calendar.

From one teacher to another, I hope to god you aren’t one of my own kids’ teachers. I have two high schoolers who are working their asses off on a laptop through having lost family friends and relatives and having not seen their friends in a year, and people like you are not worthy of their time and attention.
