Because these were the two old ECNL clubs pre-DA so they have the brand established and neither BRYC or Loudoun or MU or VDA have the compelling case to pull top players from those two clubs. Arlington’s always been solid too, but just a notch below the other two. Until Clyde and Nadir leave, this will likely continue to be the case for McLean. FCV, not so clear but they’ve got a few more years before their current GA talent pool ages out.
Loudoun sucks a.ss. At any age group. Yeah, spare me your 07 line. It’s one team out of 14 possible. The rest receive humiliating and obscene spankings. I do want to know where they studied marketing though because parents keep shelling out 5k every year for virtually no output.
WTH are you talking about? Did my post say that Loudoun was good? No, it didn’t. But now we know what you spank to.
Relax skippy. No lies have been told.

My son doesn’t like the kids in that part of NOVA and the parents don’t have the best reputation, though Arlington gives them a run for their money in my book. I would be delighted if he changed his mind as he gets older. It is a lot closer to where we live vs the club that he goes to now. I am sure McLean has done nothing wrong. Perception is not reality no matter how much people are slaves to perception. And they are often fluid, as the theme of the thread suggests.
Yeah. Second that on Arlington - I've heard that they actually target the kids of obnoxious parents for recruitment - instead of just focusing on soccer ability.

FFS this is completely meaningless to boys parents and you are an idiot for thinking that club is more important than talent in getting placement. Sheep like most parents in this area, and your children will also be little lambs the rest of their lives if you rear them in this manner.

This is really helpful and contributes a lot to the discussion.
Thanks.
