You'd be surprised. I leave generous tips if the service is decent. (It usually is.) I have a couple of Dem friends that I go to lunch with from time to time. (I go with them separately, they do not know each other.) Both are in similar financial circumstances as I am. Both stick to 15%. One of them even has a little card that helps her figure out the 15%. I go for at least 20% --never less.
+1. I've noticed the same thing. In my view, it's because most of my D friends are "Karens" who expect everything to be just so in their little world, and like to control everything, including how much income other people get. My R friends are much more go-with-the-flow. "Hey she worked hard tonight, let's help her out."

Totally agree.
But would you leave a tip for the illegal immigrant working at those restaurants. That was the issue.![]()
A PP stated that half the little ID town was inhabited by Hispanics. I'm betting that many are not here legally and work in restaurants and farms. So, those Trumpsters will happily be served by those people, but still want them to go back to where they came from. Would they leave tips knowing that some of the money was going into the pockets of illegal immigrants? Or would they not leave tips because they don't want to encourage illegal immigrants to come here? What a conundrum.

Between that and black unemployment being at all-time lows, just who does he think he is??

I buy their beans and other dry goods and will continue doing so.

Their products are more expensive than other brands. Not Latinx myself, but we purchase and eat a fair amount of Goya products. We will now avoid.
Please also avoid the gringo term “Latinx.” We still have our balls
Latina women have balls? Or you’re just so insecure that you can’t stand not having a tiny little letter ‘o’?
I buy Goya products. I won’t anymore. Donald Trump is a traitor, and I don’t have to give my money to company headed by a fool who thinks he should be praised. Unlike moron Republicans, however, I will consume the Goya beans I have on the shelf. Weren’t you morons just trashing your Keurig machines a few years ago?
you need to add your Goya pinto beans to that word salad.

Because you assume Trump voters don’t eat ethnic foods? Wow, that’s some bubble you’ve insulated yourself in.
Many Trumpsters in middle America think Taco Bell is "real ethnic food".
No, I don't think most middle America Trumpsters have ever bought Goya foods.

I am continuously amazed at how clueless people here are about the world outside of the blue bubbles. You do realize that their are tons of Latinos in red states.
Many are illegal immigrants who work on farms; some probably work in restaurants, cleaning the table for you, cooking your food. From what I understand, Trump and Trumpsters want them to leave. I wonder if Trumpsters leave tips, or write on the checks "go back to you where you came from".
You are projecting your own ugly thoughts into other people’s heads. People who live in red states aren’t cartoon characters.
You also have a romanticized view of Latinos in the US (typical of UMC white liberals). For example, in Florida, most Latinos are middle class (not just the Cubans) and most of them don’t like illegal immigration anymore than anglos.

This is what Dems refuse to accept. Immigrants who came here *legally* aren't interested in helping other immigrants come *illegally*. Seems to always be the white, woke crowd insisting we need to open our country to anyone and everyone, at any time and for any reason. Nope.
Literally no one is happy about illegal immigration, except for rich and UMC whites and the illegal immigrants who provide their cheap labor. Ironically, their presence contributes to unemployment among poorer Black Americans who have to compete with them for jobs. Google the Chicago bakery that hired several hundred, mostly Black, workers after getting busted by ICE.
Democrats got Trump elected mainly due to their doubling down on the wrong side of illegal immigration due to the tendency of their party leadership and media outlets to lump all Latinos together and assume that they would be grateful to them. The woke crowd still commonly assumes that all Latinos were deeply offended by Trump’s comments about Mexicans, as if all Latinos are Mexican. This is especially problematic in Florida, which has a huge Latino population that is mostly not Mexican.

I hate that stupid term too. Notice, it's always "woke" white people who use it.
Or as I call them, the “wokex”

Yep. Beans have entered the mainstream of American cuisine.
