Yesss!!
On NextDoor he has been the subject of other complaints before this latest. Dude has a serious problem. This Lance Armstrong wannabe thinks it’s ok to assault kids? Because he disagrees with their fliers?

We’ve lost our collective minds. Rioting and looting is practically condoned, but the AG is getting directly involved in the case of an idiot on a bike.

Yes, he grabbed something from a girl. What is was he was grabbing is unclear. He then seems to charge towards someone. What happens then isn’t clear from the camera. He may have run into or knocked someone over, or he may have grabbed something from that person. Again, exactly what happens can’t be seen from the video. There is no indication from the video (or anything else I have seen reported) that anyone was hurt.
He almost certainly acted improperly. He may have committed a misdemeanor. Nothing I have seen suggests this case should get the attention it has, and it wouldn’t if it didn’t supposedly involve someone upset about posters concerning Floyd and related issues.
By grabbing her arm like that, he committed assault.
Technically an unwanted touching of any sort is assault. But if you think someone would normally be charged for yanking something out of someone’s hands, you are sorely mistaken. Depending on the context it might be theft, but that would be the far more likely charge, at least that would stick.
He grabbed her arm in order to pull the roll of tape off- she wasn’t holding it in her hand.
Regardless, he ran the boy down with his bike and that would definitely qualify as assault.

I had internal bruising and trapped the guy in the stairwell leading out of the theater while I called the police. He admitted he tackled me and punched me multiple times in the theater. I went to the emergency room and got a report saying I had internal bruising along with medical photos. I showed up at the court hearing. The guy had a prior record in another state and still got off with nothing but community service. I think you all think assault is way worse than the MoCo law enforcement and DA think it is. It’s nothing but a slap on the wrist, seriously. I was pissed
Possibly so, but in this case, these are kids who are probably pretty traumatized by this assault. You don't mention what led to the assault and I'm sure it was just as benign as these kids but at least you had the wherewithal to trap them and defend yourself in that way. These kids had no power against this hulking nutcase.

Anonymous wrote:Point of clarification. Does the guy have an Aussie accent or is it the kid taking the video? Cause I think it is the kid that has the accent, not the insane guy.

Well then thank goodness for the civil courts.
