Me too, but I was really puzzled by her in the mock trial. Did she genuinely not have anything to say (ie, she and Ben aren’t a good match) or was she throwing it somehow? It just felt weird.
I think that scene was meant to show that she's not as academically gifted as Devi (doesn't have the ability to speak brilliantly on the fly like she does), so she's lacking that quality and would not be a great match for Ben.
And that she's not driven by academic achievement in the same way. I think she just flubbed it, but wasn't phased by messing up so badly (though one would think she'd care a little about blowing it for her team).
