Also, she's always saying she's a "midwife and NP" but literally midwives are often NPs and would never call themselves both. Also, why wouldn't a show about a midwife consult w midwife so that they don't make basic mistakes like that and get everything about labor wrong. Like, she stares between someone's legs and says "you're not in labor" which you can't tell staring at someone's vagina. (Can you tell I'm a midwife?)
Bahahaha. I'm an L and D nurse and was coming on here to complain about this same nonsensical quote!

It's filmed in different areas around Vancouver, B.C. Canada. Jack's bar is an actual place called the Watershed Grill in Squamish on the way to Whistler. Doc's clinic is a heritage house, Mel's cabin is actually a caretaker's cabin on a lake. Hope's house is near where my dh works.
Awesome, thanks for sharing! Jealous!
Are there pot farms around there, too? That's definitely a thing in northern CA.

I think Charmaine's been pregnant for a couple years!
Silly, silly show. I watch it for the scenery.

The timelines make no sense.
Mel is 8 weeks pregnant, and Charmaine is 5 months pregnant? So, in 3 months, Jack got Charmaine pregnant, broke up with her, fell in love with Mel, broke up with her, and then was broken up long enough for Mel to make a life altering decision and do a round of IVF? And yet Charmaine and Joey are judged for rushing to marriage too fast?
I'm also kind of stuck on the idea that it's such a small isolated town that everyone knows everyone, and yet also a big enough community to have like 30 people out paddle boating on a regular weekday. The DMV has millions of people, and yet I bet we still only support like 40 paddle boats.
