The reason why there are middle class families in Rosemary Hills is because it feeds into BCC. You take that away and the neighborhood gets less middle class.

I don't know about CCES, but keep your eyes open for a boundary study related to the Westbrook/Somerset changes coming soon.
If they're first going to build out Westbrook to 740, that will take years, and the boundary study would be 18 months before the scheduled opening.
At the meeting it seemed like the Westbrook/Somerset boundary change could go into effect fall 2020 or fall 2021. They are just building out a 3 classroom shell. But they don’t get the new CIP money until July 1 so unclear if they could do it in summer 2020 or if it would be summer 2021.
No way this could go into effect in Fall 2020. The only boundaries changing for Fall 2020 are for the schools included in the two current boundary studies, for Clarksburg/Northwest/Seneca Valley and Forest Knolls/Montgomery Knolls/Pine Crest. Boundary studies take at least six months from start to finish. New boundaries are finalized ~10 months in advance of the first day at the new school because of all the logistical changes that go with them, including revised staffing allocations, transfers and hiring, new bus routes, etc.
It sounded like they were going to make a quick decision to fill the 300 seats at Westbrook. If you think about it, they can grandfather 4th and 5th Grades into the current school and buy themselves some time to build out a few more classrooms at Westbrook before moving the whole cohort of whichever kids they move.
