I think it’s weak to just dismiss someone for their mistakes. Learn from it
He can learn, just not at Harvard.
+1 Get some perspective, he's not being sent to prison. He's just being rejected for insufficient moral character from a university that rejects thousands of qualified applicants per year.
This. Such manufactured outrage over a teenager who did himself in by ranting violent thoughts about jews and N*******. As someone pointed out upthread, kids in Florida can be sent to prison as they can be tried as adults. Now, that is a tragedy.
That is wrong too. Back to original topic. If people do not stand up and say kids say horrible things and there is a reason why a record is expunged at 18 then it is a huge issue for majority of parents. Lots of self righteous folk. This all makes me cringe-anyone who says my kid would never is clueless

Given the threat of violence, and assuming that the threats posted in an earlier link are true and were made by the student in question, I change my position on this. Hate speech is one thing that I will defend, even if I find what is being said to be offensive, but I will not defend threats of violence. That is not "civil discourse."
That said, I do think that many so-called liberal institutions which claim to support the free exchange of ideas are quick to try to silence any ideas that might be considered to be offensive to someone. They miss the idea that free-speech is a double-edge sword: in order to retain it, we must defend the right of others to speak at all times, even when what they say is disagreeable or, indeed, offensive. We do not arrive at a free society by picking and choosing what others may or may not say.

I REPEAT: TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE BOYCOTTING HARVARD
Related news: Harvard sees no discernible difference.

Did you post this and omit key background details to make him out to be a gentile white male right wing extremist? Kashuv is a Jewish surname. Kyle is a Jewish, as our both of his parents. They go to synagogue every week, as reported in The Times.
