Aren't they making the old Banneker building into a middle school? If that isn't the plan, couldn't it be?
The Council reserved that building and funded a feasibility study, but DCPS has made no commitments. Sometimes I feel like giving these parents the finger is a political move for Bowser.
Ya think?

Making SWW a PK-5 school would also allow more space for other grades, so there would be more PK slots WOTP and more kids graduating each year to move on to Cardozo.
With this change and a motivated principal assigned just to the middle schoolers at Cardozo, I think it could see a rapid increase in enrollment, test scores, and desirability.
The middle school would not improve because many SWW families would bail. Sorry that your genius idea actually turned out to be a dud.
They wouldn't all bail. Cardozo won't become Deal but it might get to par with Stuart Hobson. Sorry that the most realistic option for improvement is unpalatable to you so you'll be stuck with the status quo and wind up bailing yourself.

Where do the kids at Seaton/Garrison ultimately end up? Is there a way to find out that info?
