Then move. Leave America.
Multiculturalism is working in many progressive communities.
The only places multiculturalism does not work is in neo-nazi racist white supremacist enclaves. Go find one to join, you weirdo.

Since Trump started cracking down, it’s led to a drop in those filing returns. Yet more drop in revenue thanks to Trump

Please look at the economies of gateway cities, like el Paso, where 25% of the population is either foreign born or illegal. Although the city has grown enormously, economic prosperity has not come with the growth. It is the 11th poorest city, only 75% completed high school. Industries which prey on illegal labor have relocated there and have kept wages very depressed for the whole community. Please do some research on these local economies.
El Paso, literally on the f’ing border. Not representative.

Multiculturism is what made America Great.
And, it is. However, in most cases, the cultures adapted to us. Today, it seems we must adapt to them. I am, of course, not addressing the indigenous tribes. That was a travesty, but they were not always very nice to each other, either.
Someone who doesn’t know much about American history and assimilation.
Tell me why my European ancestors used their native language for several generations after moving here? And it wasn’t English. They used it in school, their newspapers, in church. My great-grandmother’s primer is in this language.
American culture is constantly changing. That might be scary to some, but it’s not necessarily negative. Cultures just stagnate die.

What are you talking about? How do you know immigrants are legal or not? My child attends public school and there are a few immigrants but I have no idea if they are legal or not.
DP here. The fact that over 1,000 undocumented minors who entered this country in 2014 were “settled” in Fairfax County tells me that illegal immigrants are indeed in our public schools. The exact number of illegal aliens in the DC area public schools is not known (because schools cannot report immigration status), but to deny they are there is a flat out lie.

What an ignorant perspective! The more recent immigrants, in fact, have assimilated, in many ways, more than their Irish, Italian, etc, predecessors. Take note that Little Italy in Baltimore and NYC, long standing Irish bars in many major cities, Little Havana in Miami, and Chinatown in NYC and SF would not exist if those communities "assimilated" quickly. Same with Little Saigon in NoVa and Hasidic communities in NYC.
Yeah right. That's why you see so many immigrants who have been here 10, 20, 30+ years and still can't speak a word of english.
So you are going up to and asking people if they are immigrants and how long they have been here? Just want to confirm how you know this.
My Buba (grandma) immigrated from Poland and was here for some 40 years until her death in 1985 and her English was horrible.
