She has NEVER asked for money. She did get a tummy tuck a few years ago.
Check GOMIblog. Someone had screenshot it before it was taken down. She did.
Also, how are they so wealthy? They seem to live a very upper middle class to upper crusty life and she complains of too much free time sometimes. What does he do for a living or did they inherit?

She has a vast readership.
She is recovering from a suicide attempt.
And you’re trashing her on this site?
Just. Stop. This is disgusting.
who is trashing her? many people are confused and wondering if she is really alright because she posted so soon after a suicide attempt.

Anonymous wrote:I found her post incredibly disturbing. I do think the timing is interesting and wouldn't be surprised if her mental health issues included Borderline Personality Disorder. This whole trend of people obsessed with mentally ill and highly unstable bloggers is disturbing. Look at the cult of momastery-who also puts it all out there about her long list of mental health and substance abuse problems. Neither of them are well. Amy just attempted suicide. Glennon appears bone thin and often claimed she wasn't bulimic and then would periodically would admit to bulimia relapses on her blog and still drinking alcohol. I think it's dangerous what these women are doing for themselves and their readers. If you are truly in remission, then perhaps it is safe to blog, but blogging through mental illness while parading your kids and their personal lives through your blog is disturbing.

Usually public people post something like, I've taken some time off to take care of my health. That she didn't do this--and gave so many blow-by-blow details of what happened--just seems weird/gratuitous.
Perhaps her mental health difficulties are severe and her judgment is poor during this time. If that's the case, I would hope her friends/family members would help to monitor her posting.
I read her blog, and I agree with this. I think she should have just said she needed some time. She shouldn't have put it out there but she's probably not in a good place right now. Perhaps she thinks it's therapeutic or that she owed it to her audience, but she's clearly off. I appreciate this thread but the people who don't read the blog and call her faker are way off about that.
I think there's a zero percent chance she reads DCUM.

What is rubbing me the wrong way is the picture she took in the hospital...I mean who thinks to take a picture during what is probably the lowest point of your life?

Maybe one of the medical providers was about to go public with Amy's attempted suicide. She was pro active in shutting down the story.
That makes no sense whatsoever. No medical provider can legally go public with patient information and unlike the White House, they don't leak it, either. It's possible, though, that her close friends and neighbors knew about it, so the story was already out and she didn't want misinformation to spread.
