Was the OW divorced?

I say this b/c i've seen this play out before, even recently with a colleague.
Young couple weds then realizes there are fertility issues. They try what they can and eventually resolve to live quietly with their pets, advance careers and travel.
Right around the mid life crisis male spouse (by this point wife has reached menopause or perimenopause) reevaluates life and success and thinks the only thing missing is a biological child. He decides to divorce and begin his "second act".
This woman had already invested half of her life with this man and divorce felt like a betrayal. It drove her over the edge.
Horrible outcome.
He will be married with a child on the way in 5 years.

I'm getting Damian Lewis vibes from him. My guess is that he had a wandering eye for years. He's the type of guy that got more attractive as he aged.

Too sneaky looking.
Old and worn and sneaky-looking like Robert Redford! Swoon!

How do you know which photo is the most current. I would not assume a linkedin photo was current.

This is terrible. Why didn’t he call 911 or at least call and warn the mistress?
I thought I read he was waiting for Meredith at a restaurant, they had plans to eat dinner together (a date). When she didn’t show up, he gave up waiting and drove to her house. Which makes it even weirder that if he had received threats from his wife he didn’t call 911 all that time. Scumbag.

No kidding. He only called 911 when it was too late. He didn't care about anyone but himself. That, and he's kinda creepy looking.
I read in another article that when the husband was waiting for the mistress at the restaurant, he started received threatening texts from his wife, so instead of calling the police immediately, he drove to the mistress' house. He probably didn't think his wife would actually follow through with her threats.
I'm waiting to hear whether he even attempted to contact his mistress to alert her to the wife's threatening texts. His going to the house in person wasted time that could have saved two lives. He didn't call the cops (probably because he feared the exposure) but he couldn't even try to warn his mistress either? The woman for whom he supposedly was trying to leave his wife?
The wife broke into the house when the mistress wasn't there yet, and waited until the mistress came home and then shot her (according to the Post). Who knows -- a missed text or call that didn't get seen or heard in time (or just wasn't done at all by the man) could have averted at least one death.

Absolutely. Not surprising, given the situation.
Have you ever thought that this might not have been her fiest time threatening another woman or his mistress?
All the more reason to stay away, if it were me!
No, you didn't get it. He probably didn't taker hwe serious because it wasn't her first rime theatening ro do harm. He might uave cLled and it was too late. He might have ignored her crazy rants that day, looking forward to dinner.
I'm with you on this. My DH has threatened to kill himself but really it's just about him getting me to react or to manipulate me into apologizing or doing whatever it is we're fighting about. It took me a long time, but I finally started telling him that if he was really serious then I couldn't help him and we needed to call 911, and that would put an end to it. If I was in this situation and my DH was at my APs house texting me that he was there and was going to hurt the both of them, I'm not sure how serious I would take him either. I would probably text my AP though about the level of crazy that things were at right then. I wonder if this wasn't the first time she threatened?
You have a H who threatens to kill himself and you are still married.
You have such a blind spot you can't even see how crazy you are.
