I think it important to consider his remarks in full context. It will be a free-for-all.
Look, McConnell continued his statement about taking up DACA and border security after the 8th with the other things listed above. I suggest you listen to the whole statement, not just a sound bite. This process will be an open invitation to lots of other ‘deals’.

Wrong. They got automatic consideration of their Dreamer bill.
LOL ...... they need 60 votes in the Senate, the House has to approve anything the Senate passes and Trump may veto it if he does not like it. No DACA bill will pass without funding for the wall, dealing with chain migration and doing away with the diversity lottery.
Exactly-we are supposed to trust McConnell?! That’s hilarious.

Don't forget the CHIP blackmail is gone.
Chuck can still shut down the government, Trumpkins.
Worked out so well for them over the weekend![]()

They got CHIP for six years. It's not everything, but it's sure not nothing.
Much more important to get funding for poor American children than an amnesty bill for illegal immigrants. The latter can wait. Contrary to the alarm bells Schumer is sounding, nobody is waiting in the wings to deport them.

Yup. McConnell didn’t promise Ryan would bring a vote, just himself. Clever, clever.
No assurance that Ryan will go along with anything that his caucus finds unacceptable and Trump could still veto anything that does not meet his requirements.
I can't see the Democrats wanting to link DACA to another shut down because ultimately it was an unwinnable situation: shut down the government affecting tens of millions of Americans to champion the cause of illegals.
