There are a lot of men who are very upset they were circumcised. It's obnoxious to dismiss their experiences.

Because it's way more complicated and painful for adults. My DS was circed in the hospital and didn't cry once (the pediatrician used local anaesthesia). Nor were there any issues or any pain during his brief recovery. Conversely, I know three men who had it done as adults because of issues they were having, and it was painful and unpleasant.


It's not that dramatically different. Certainly it's something an adult man could choose if he wished. This is just an excuse.

You can't simultaneously claim it's NBD for babies -- especially without anesthesia -- and then make a huge deal about how difficult and impossible it is for adult men. Pick a lane.

+1. Also, can people stop whining about how much it hurts adult men? Get over it. It's not MAJOR surgery. Why are men such wimps? Women's private parts go through so much worse!

I find it difficult to believe that three adult men confided in your regarding the difficulties of their penis recovery....

US urologists are notoriously pro-circ; European and Latin American urologists often find the speed at which their US colleagues recommend circumcision to be troubling. There is a profit motive.
