This is a horrible feeling as a survivor, to realize you were chosen for your relative weakness, that your attacker knew people would be less likely to care about what happens to you or believe what you have to say.
Imagine how it feels as a child, or as an adult coming to terms with how their childish trust and weakness were exploited.
Over the years that I have posted here I have often been called a misandrist for my jaded views. But as a former prosecutor who handled far too many sexual assault cases both adult and child victims, I have good reason for my feelings. There are so many monsters out there, walking around with the masks of grandfathers, fathers, uncles brothers sons and friends. Teacher troop leader coach clergy neighbor. Everybody wants to think the monster is in somebody else’s closet or under somebody else’s bad, but the monster is just as likely in your house, no matter how much you refuse to see. And that’s how monsters thrive.
This continues because people turn the other way. I told my mother my stepfather was sexually abusing me she ignored me and didn't care. How do you ever recover from that? Anyway you are right someone is supporting these monsters to continue and it needs to stop. You are either for or against rapist, sexual abuse, looks like Ashton and his wife are for it. Matterson's wife Bijou Phillips also supports it. This is unacceptable.

She has $$$. She'll be fine.
She’s also a massive a-hole and always has been. She’s exactly the sort of person who would be married to Danny Masterson. She mocked his victims. I don’t feel sorry for her at all.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:How many accusers were there and what evidence was given (outside victim testimony) that he committed the rapes?
Five woen made accusations. Prosecutors felt there was sufficient evidence to change him in 3 of the 5 cases. He was found guilty on 2 of the 5 cases.
I don't believe there was any evidence outside of victim testimony. However the victim testimoney was supported by expert witnesses and the reports of tampering (by the Scientology church) to keep the victims from reporting was used as further evidence.
This is very important to note there were FIVE WOMEN coming forward saying they were raped, only 3 women were part of this, 1 didn't have enough evidence and 1 the statue of limitations ended (that's nuts!) FIVE WOMEN don't lie the fact ASHTON and his WIFE FULLY SUPPORT him is crazy to me, they should BE CANCELLED.
Scientology harassed the women and poisoned their pets!!! Why isn't anyone talking about how messed up this is as well?

100% correct! I think the fact that Ashton asked the judge to be lenient on sentencing because of his character assessment OVER the victim impact statements is DISCUSTING him and his wife are nuts AND he sits there and testifies in front of congress about sex trafficking? GET OUT OF HERE.
He is KNOWINGLY supporting a rapist one day then testifying in front of congress the next. Something is NOT right with him at all.
Pretty much the entire cast of That 70s show wrote letters in support, except Topher Grace (he was exiled by the group) and Laura Prepon (she left Scientology a few years ago). Oh, and Wilmer Valderrama who had a lot of underage sex allegations lodged against him.
People are surmising that Ashton is being blackmailed.
